Pere Lachaise Pomegranate Necklace with Green Enamel under Oxidized Silver on Gold Filled Chain
This necklace was inspired by a design I saw when wandering through the amazing Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris. A cluster of pomegranate shapes hang below delicate leaves.
This is a variation on my Pere Lachaise Necklace, this time with a second layer of beautiful art nouveau Paris green enameled copper peeking through the intricately cut pomegranates.
Top layer is painstakingly hand cut recycled sterling silver. Brushed to a matte finish and then oxidized for a fabulous vintage look and contrast. The second piece is hand cut copper that has been enameled. The two pieces are separate from each other, but they do not move. Attached with soldered loops to oxidized sterling silver chain.
Back of necklace is black enamel, has a lovely smooth feel when worn.
Length is 17.5 inches long.
Pendant is approx. 1.25 inches wide and an inch tall.
